How AI is Changing SEO - and 6 ways you can prepare.
SEO still pulls weight—when done right, it’s a money magnet.
The way marketers were panicking about Search Engine Optimization dying over the last two years because of CHAT GBT last year was kind of... insane.
People didn't know what to expect -- which made sense. A technical skill that used to require skill to learn, and deploy, was easily replaceable by a chat bot that costs $20 per month.
Two years later, I think our heads are back on straight.
I told one of my agency members, we need to use AI to pair SEO with our content packages, it's too easy not to do.
His response? SEO is dying because of AI. I Thought about it, and was skeptical. Google is still in use. So are the other large search engines. The difference between today and two years ago? They use AI tools to recommend trusted, relevant solutions for the search query.
It's almost like having your assistant cherry pick results based on what they think will work best for you, instead of having them hand you a large list sorted by keywords and web connections.
This is not a bad thing. It signals an era where brand, trust, and relevance are more important than ever.
Are you known for solving problems? Are there discussions about your product, service, or offering on online review boards and forums, like Reddit, Wikipedia, Youtube, Quora, Forbes, etc.
Remember, these are Large Language Models and Chatbots.. so it makes sense they're forming opinions by searching places where humans would go to talk and share perspective.
Within the past few weeks all of the big SEO marketers have changed their tone to try to coin phrases meant to describe how business leaders can position themselves to be recommended by AI.
Things like =>
1) providing clear concise answers to search queries on your web pages.
2) Use of headings that answer search queries in blogs.
3) Demonstrating Expertise, Experience, Authority, and Trustworthiness.
4) Adding a schema markup that clarifies your context.
5) Keeping an organic tone that feels like you're having a conversation.
6) Making sure your content is recent and relevant.
These are just some beginner tips, we’ll be going into more detail about how to do these things as the month of august goes on. Wanna learn more with us? subscribe to our email list for the first updates.
